Aljazeera Arabic reports that the former spokesman of Al Nusra front Abu Firas Alsoori was killed along with his son and other Nusra fighters on Sunday in an American airstrike in Idlib north east the country.
This airstrike came after Nusra Front took over Al Aees area south Idlib in two days.
Abu Firas Alsoory is among the most powerful Nusra Front leaders, he received his first position as the head of the fighters division in the front shortly after he joined, he also became a member of Al Shura council shortly after that, Abu Firas was also known as Nusra Front’s spokesman and at last he was in charge of the Shariah collages.
Abu Firas was born in 1950 in Madhaya, Damascus, he was a former major in the Arab Syrian army, later he got involved in several Jihad operations in the 80s, he then trained the Afghan Jihadies and came back to Syria after the Syrian revolution".
