Assistant Foreign Minister Amro Mowad denied that ten more Egyptians had been kidnapped, The Cairo Post said, a story that had been circulating among Egyptian papers Thursday.
An Egyptian paper had reported earlier that Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a statement confirming that the Egyptians were kidnapped.
The kidnapping scare follows Daesh's video of a mass execution of 21 kidnapped workers, all but one of them Egyptian Coptic Christians. Egypt and Libya have been coordinating airstrikes against the jihadist group since.
