British Consultant on Trial in Bahrain over Death of US National
A British oil consultant has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter in a Bahraini court after a US national was found stabbed to death, the English daily Gulf News reported Sunday.
It said Richard Mechan's defense counsel questioned Saturday witnesses who testified to the "violent nature" of the victim, Marshall Earl Emmons, a fellow resident of Saudi Arabia.
Emmons, a 31-year-old engineer from Arizona, was found at the poolside of a Manama housing compound on January 6th, said AFP.
The criminal court trial, which opened in April, has been adjourned until June 7th, added the agency - (Several Sources)
