Car bomb kills at least twenty people in Damascus province
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that a car bomb has killed 20 people in the town of Rankus. The Observatory added that the blast, which took place adjacent to a mosque, also killed “tens of people.”
Rankus, 30 kilometers north of Damascus, is a Sunni majority town that backs rebel forces fighting the regime of President Bashar Al-Assad. AFP reports that since the conflict in Syria began, government and rebel forces have frequently clashed in the town.
