Cleaner, Smarter, More Efficient Solutions Key to Sustainable Energy for the Middle East
GE (NYSE:GE), a long-standing growth partner in the Middle East's energy and water sectors, is showcasing its latest technology solutions and services at the Power-Gen Middle East 2010 conference taking place at the Qatar International Exhibition Centre in Doha from October 4-6, 2010.
Highlighting the importance of more efficient technology towards the strategic development of electricity and water sectors, the organizer, Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation, has chosen "New Solutions for Power generation and Water production Challenges" as the theme for Power-Gen Middle East, 2010. This is also the first time in the event's 10-year history that the conference is being held in Doha. Cleaner, smarter, more efficient energy is needed to sustain the growth of the energy and water sectors in the region, said Joseph Anis, GE Energy's president for the Middle East. "GE is working closely with our customers, in the public and private sectors, to deliver advanced technology solutions and services tailored to the meet the rise in demand for energy as well as fulfill their environmental responsibilities".
GE's advanced technologies are helping energy companies in the region to increase production and comply with increasingly rigorous emissions standards.
