Train bomb blast leaves at least seven dead in Egypt Alexandria
An improvised bomb blast in an Alexandria train wounded at least seven people, a security source told Ahram late on Thursday.
Egypt’s railway authority said in a statement that the wounded included a child who is in a “critical condition”.
The blast occurred in a carriage of a train carrying passengers between Abo Qir village and Sidi Gaber neighborhood in Egypt’s second biggest city.
Small bombings marked the Thursday anniversary of the army's ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi last year. There were also clashes between security forces and Morsi's supporters in various parts of the country.
