Egyptian PM to Visit Lebanon Wednesday
Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid will travel to Lebanon Wednesday to open electricity plants that Egypt helped repair after they were bombed by Israel earlier this year, the MENA news agency reported.
He will hold talks with Lebanese President Emile Lahoud, Prime Minister Salim Hoss and speaker of parliament Nabih Berri during his three-day visit, Saturday's edition of the state-owned Al-Gomhuriya newspaper reported.
Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak made a surprise visit to Lebanon in February in a show of solidarity after an Israeli air blitz on Lebanon's power grid wounded 22 civilians and left large swathes of the country without light or heating - (AFP)
