Egypt's President leaves for G8 summit in Evian
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak left Egypt Saturday for the Group of Eight (G8) summit in Evian, France, an airport official said.
Egypt's ambassador to France, Hatem Seif al-Nasr, was quoted as saying by Al-Ahram that Mubarak will promote Cairo’s, "point of view on the necessity of reaching a peaceful, just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian question" and the importance of keeping Iraq unified. (Albawaba.com)
