EQUATE sponsors College of Business Administration research center at Kuwait University
EQUATE Petrochemical Company and Kuwait University's College of Business Administration (CBA) inaugurated the faculty's Center for Management & Marketing Research.
The center, sponsored by EQUATE, aims to offer faculty members and students the facility to develop, conduct and analyze research projects. Students will receive training in this regard, which will serve as an important resource based on their academic requirements.
During the center's official inauguration, CBA Dean Dr. Rashed Al-Ajmi expressed "Utmost appreciation and gratitude to EQUATE for sponsoring this facility which will serve a number of academic and scientific purposes."
Al-Ajmi noted, "EQUATE has always been a true supporter of CBA's endeavors in many fields, we hope such cooperation will further develop and flourish."
On his part, EQUATE VP Technical Services Mohammad Al-Benali said, "This center is an extension of a partnership and ongoing strong collaboration between EQUATE and relevant academic institutes, such as CBA which has been playing a major role in Kuwait's educational and scientific research development. In 2008, EQUATE signed an agreement with CBA to conduct a comprehensive study about the company's overall performance, economic contribution and other relevant issues."
Al-Benali added, "EQUATE's sponsorship of this center is part of its CSR Program aimed at sharing success with the community to forge partnerships for overall sustainability within the Kuwaiti society, especially in scientific, health, academic and professional development fields."
Established in 1995, EQUATE is an international joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), Boubyan Petrochemical Company (BPC) and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (QPIC). Commencing production in 1997, EQUATE is the single operator of a fully integrated world-scale manufacturing facility producing over 5 million tons annually of high-quality petrochemical products which are marketed throughout the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe.
