Football enthusiasts gearing up to register for Nike Elite Football Training
NIKE Middle East today unveiled plans to launch a region-wide grass roots football initiative which will give local youth the opportunity to train like their favorite football players. Nike Elite Training will be open to all footballers on a first come first serve basis - registration for Dubai training sessions will commence in-store and online starting February 16th. Following Dubai, Nike coaches will move on to the search for local football talent in Jeddah and Beirut starting in March. Talented footballers from each city will be sent to Juventus FC in Italy to continue their training.
The initiative comes at the same time that the Total90 Laser boot - the Total90 Laser III - featuring a newly configured ‘Shot Shield’ strike zone (patent pending) designed for more power and accuracy- is launched in this market. Purchasing the boots opens access to Nike Football+, a digital coaching program (available via web, mobile internet or iPhone application) to help players improve their skills with access, insights and instruction from top players and coaches.
“Last year, Nike Elite Training gave me the opportunity to play football with the best local coaches, connect with international players using Nike Football+ and master the game I love! My dream is to reach the World Cup in 2018 and I am certain that Nike will help me get there” said Firas Hassan.
All Nike Elite Training registrants will be invited to a grand selection day where Nike coaches will test their skill level. On this day, the top one hundred footballers will be chosen to participate in an intensive four day training camp. After completion of the Nike Elite Training, top players will be flown to Juventus in Italy to continue their training.
