Gaza Strip: PA security official wounded by Hamas fire
Hamas gunmen on Wednesday ambushed the car of Palestinian Security Service chief Rifat Kulab, shooting him seven times and leaving him in moderate condition. According to the AP, Palestinian security officials said Kulab, of Fatah faction, was shot in the legs and his life is not in danger.
Palestinian sources in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip reported that one Palestinian was killed in this incident in addition to the security chief.
A Hamas attack on a Preventive Security office in Gaza on Monday led to a daylong gunbattle in the southern town of Rafah, and sparked a rampage by security men against government buildings in the West Bank later in the day.
