General Secretariat of university teaching staff union
According to JANA, the General Secretariat of university teaching staff union, held Saturday morning a meeting at al-Fateh university, during which it discussed a host of issues such as measures taken in preparation for the Basic Congresses of the teaching staff of Great Jamahiriya universities on 13 September and the General Congress of the union on 17 September.
The Secretariat also discussed in its meeting the arrangements for organizing the first national fair for university textbooks at al-Fateh university, 17-22 September with the participation of various universities, publishing houses, institutions, sectors, scholars and those with interest in scientific and cultural sector in the Great Jamahiriya.
The meeting also followed up the intensive arrangements made by the General Secretariat of the university teaching staff in various universities to take part in the people's celebrations of the 36th anniversary of the great al-Fateh Revolution.
The Secretariat expressed the congratulations of the university teaching staff to the Leader of the Revolution on the 36th anniversary of the great al-Fateh Revolution underlining in a cable that the university teaching staff will remain loyal science messengers of the noble human thought, the thought of the Third Universal Theory, and constant loyalty to the values of freedom, dignity and pride.

We, university teaching staff, from various universities and scientific bastions, meet today to renew our pledge that our scientific centres, would remain a revolutionary lighthouse enlightening your thought and embodying reality and preach its immortal tenets to end ignorance and illuminate the reality of the Jamahiri era, and triumphs of the Jamahiriya everywhere.
