Gulf Bank Hosts Students from Gulf University for Science and Technology
Gulf Bank has opened its doors to a group of students from the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST). The visit was part of its partnership with INJAZ Kuwait, a non-governmental organization set up to deliver educational programs on entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness to students and young people.
During the visit to Gulf Bank the students learnt about the function of various departments including Human Resources, Service Quality Management, Marketing, Corporate Banking and Facilities where they witnessed how the private sector operates. The tour included presentations from senior bank representatives about the Bank’s organization and how each department contributes to the Bank’s operations. The objective was to give students a sense of the numerous opportunities in the private sector, and more so in the world of finance.
Mr. Surour Alsamerai, General Manager – Human Resources at Gulf Bank said: “Our purpose for this initiative is to give students a real-life experience, to develop and educate the Kuwaiti youth, and to show them the benefits of working in the private sector. It is important to ensure that young people, who are planning their future careers now, receive a realistic understanding and are properly equipped to assess and take up the opportunities that lie ahead of them.”
The Bank is deeply committed to its own corporate social responsibility mission focused on the development and employment of Kuwaitis working together towards a better and more prosperous Kuwait.
