For the sixth consecutive year Saudi cities have witnessed another three days of unbeatable bargains when hundreds of thousands of shoppers rushed to eXtra stores to benefit from up to 50% discount off top leading international brands. eXtra management stated this event is a once-a-year only promotion that they hold to say thank you to their loyal customers.

The annual eXtra mega sale is one of the biggest events of its kind in the Kingdom. This year the total number of shoppers taking advantage of the thousands of bargain offers during the three day sale period across the branch network was more than six times the capacity of the King Fahd stadium in Riyadh and exceeds the number of visitors that attended this year's GITEX event in Dubai by more than five times.

"The three-day offer has become an annual event that eXtra customers look out for every year," said Mohammed Galal, CEO of United Electronics Company, owners of eXtra, the Kingdom's premier Big Box retail outlet for consumer electronics and home appliances, "The big discounts go a long way to helping out household budgets and provide an opportunity to make great savings on a wide range of products."

He went on to say, "The success of this event is due to our excellent relationship with our strategic partners including Al Matbouli Company, the sole distributor for Samsung products in KSA, Alesayi Electronics, distributors of Panasonic, Modern Electronics Company (Al Faisaliyah) distributors of Sony, and Philips Electronics Middle East and Africa. This event is a great success for all of us and I promise our customers continuing benefits and added value as a result of the especially close cooperation between United Electronics Company – eXtra and our partners."

Customers visiting any of the 16 eXtra stores in the kingdom described it as going to a festival and commented on the campaign saying "big offers with genuine discounts and excellent value."

"Our annual three-day mega sale is a real opportunity to save money," said Usama Bukhari, Marketing Manager for eXtra, "This once a year promotion covers a wide range of products including big ticket items such as flat panel TVs which were sold during the three day offer for only SR999 for a 32" BenQ TV and SR2,199 for a 42" plasma TV from Panasonic and SR2,899 for the 50" model, in addition to the full automatic 7KG washing machine from Samsung priced as low as SR799, and the unbeatable offer from Fuji of a 14 mega pixel lithium ion battery digital camera for only SR 399, all backed by our unique after sales services programs."

To be close to its customers eXtra's network of 16 branches consists of six stores in Riyadh, two in Jeddah and one each in Makkah, Madinah, Al Khobar, Dammam, Al Hassa, Qassim, Taif and Abha. Becoming the instant market leader wherever they open, eXtra stores offer an excitingly different shopping experience and unbeatable value on an extensive range of leading international brands including TV, audio systems, computers, mobile phones and IT communications, cameras, home appliances and personal care products, all under one roof which makes shopping extremely convenient.

The eXtra business model has been very successful in the kingdom with its wide product range of international leading brands offered at competitive prices and comprehensive after sales services such as extended guarantee, free home delivery, AC installation, anytime anywhere computer maintenance, household machines and electronics repairs, and mobile setup with total back-up and maintenance.
