House of Amouage opens first international mono brand store in Dubai
The venerable House of Amouage has opened its first international mono brand store in the United Arab Emirates. Located in the Grand Atrium of Dubai Mall, the new store represents the further evolution of the brand's authority in the international luxury fragrance market.
Designed by JHP under the guidance of Amouage Creative Director, Christopher Chong, the store is a delicate blend of Arabian heritage and modern simplicity, reminiscent of an Arabic home of a sophisticated, international traveller. The Amouage signature branding is used as a special motif and has been intricately carved on the wooden panels inside the shop. Underpinning the concept are the core messages of the House – elegance, sophistication, international Arabia and luxury.
"This is the first part of our expansion strategy to open mono brand stores in key opinion-forming cities throughout the Gulf, Europe and United States," states David Crickmore, CEO of Amouage. The new locality in Dubai Mall forms an element of continuity with Amouage’s flagship store in Muscat and is an indulgent and distinct shopping experience that is tantamount to experiencing the brand itself. Special attention is given to quality and detail to provide a retail space that is a commercial proposition but which reflects the luxuriousness and international approach of the brand.

Amouage’s second international stand-alone store is planned to open in June of this year in London’s eponymous district of Knightsbridge and will be the first outside the Gulf. The House already sells its broad product range through shop-in-shop concepts in key retail chains across the GCC and several up-market department stores in Southeast Asia, Europe, Russia, the United States and Australia.
