Insure direct partners AXA Gulf Insurance to launch Yacht Scheme for leisure craft, yachts
Insure direct (Brokers) LLC Dubai, Dubai World’s captive insurance broker, has partnered with AXA Gulf Insurance, leading Dubai-based multinational insurers, to jointly launch a comprehensive product for leisure craft and yacht owners, members of sailing clubs and associations as well as those participating in boat shows and exhibitions.
An agreement to this effect was signed recently by Kenneth George Maw, President and Chief Executive of Insure direct, and Pedro Mairos, Marine Development Underwriter (Gulf) of AXA Gulf Insurance. The new niche-specific insurance scheme has been launched in the context of the rapid increase and popularity of maritime sports and leisure that followed the development of a large number of waterfront, beachside and island communities in Dubai and the region.
Through the Yacht Scheme Insure direct is responding to the business potential of this exclusive, high-earning sector, which has a varied risk profile related to its facilities and activities.

The Yacht Scheme provides comprehensive and third party liability insurance protection. It insures the boat, machinery and trailer against loss, damage or theft either at sea, whilst moored, kept on land or whilst in transit.
Third Party liability cover only is also available with limits of $250,000 or $500,000 ($1,000,000 could be considered if specifically required.)
