Iran election news: Ahmadinejad sees vote as turning point
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hailed June 12 as a day of great epic for the Iranian nation. June 12 marks the day when the 10th presidential election was held in the country with participation of an overwhelming majority of eligible Iranian voters.
Talking to reporters at a press conference in Tehran, he conveyed the recent move of the Iranian nation marked a turning point in Iran’s contemporary history. He said, according to IRNA, through massive turnout in the elections, the Iranian nation proved once again that it was even more loyal, earnest and determined than ever before.
