Iran executes three men convicted of killing prominent prosecutor
Iran has executed three men involved in the assassination of a senior Iranian prosecutor in the southeastern Sistan-and-Baluchestan Province.
The three men were sentenced to death for forming a terror gang and assassinating Mousa Nouri, the former prosecutor of the provincial city of Zabol, and his driver, the provincial Justice Department announced on Saturday.
Nouri and his driver were killed on November 6, 2013 on their way to work by two terrorists in a drive-by shooting. The assailants fled the scene.
A total of 11 terrorists behind the attack have been arrested and handed over to the Judiciary.
