Iran, Italy Pledge to Curb Illegal Immigration
Iran and Italy agreed Sunday to form a committee to curb illegal immigration and signed an agreement that also denounced "terrorism," Italian Interior Minister Enzo Bianco announced.
"We have decided to create a working committee to end the illegal immigration of Iranians to Italy," Italian Interior Minister Enzo Bianco said at a joint news conference with his Iranian counterpart Abdolvahed Mousavi-Lari.
Bianco said the countries signed a protocol agreement pledging to fight "against terrorism in all forms, drug trafficking, organized crime, money laundering and on the issue of illegal immigration."
