Iran supreme leader: Resistance, Jihad only ways to deal with Israel
Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei Saturday stressed the importance of continuing resistance and Jihad against the Zionist regime. In a meeting with secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Organization, Ramadan Abdullah Shallah, the Iranian praised the great victory of the Palestinian nation and the Islamic resistance in driving the Zionist regime from the Gaza Strip. "Continuation and strengthening of resistance and Jihad is the only way to encounter the Zionist enemy," he said, according to IRNA.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that Jihadi groups are symbols of the Palestinian nation's resistance and frontline fighters who are defending Islam. "Although withdrawal of the Zionist regime from Gaza is too meager as far as the Palestinian nation's demands and rights are concerned, it is a great victory over the enemy's front and supporters of the Zionist regime which indicates the regime's helplessness," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
This victory showed that resistance would bear fruits, the Supreme Leader said, adding, "Such a victory will be possible in other regions of the occupied lands. Resistance should be continued by the Palestinian nation and brave Palestinian youth in cooperation with Jihadi groups."
