Iran, Turkmenistan Review Agricultural Cooperation
Iran switched its agricultural activities and technical cooperation with Turkmenistan when the Iranian Agriculture Minister Issa Kalantari, met on Saturday with Turkmen Vice-President Muhamed Atayev, and reviewed Tehran-Ashkhabad agricultural and technical cooperation, Iran's official news agency (IRNA) reported Sunday.
"Turkmenistan is interested in purchasing agricultural equipment and machinery from Iran in return for selling gas," Kalantari told IRNA.
According to the agency, Turkmen delegation is expected to arrive in Tehran on October 1 to view Iran's technical potentials that are to be put on display during the Tehran International Trade Fair October 1st to 8th.
Iran has been active in doing business with world countries, especially the neighboring Gulf states, in addition to Azerbaijan and Russia among others. Major deals are mainly oil-related.
