Iranian Government Spokesman: Unmanned aircraft crashed in Kurdestan
Iranian Government Spokesman Abdullah Ramezanzadeh in Tehran on Wednesday confirmed reports that an unmanned aircraft had crashed in Iran's western province of Kurdestan, however said the wreckage was too strewn to establish its ownership.
Ramezanzadeh told reporters that the “wreckage of an object, apparently an unmanned plane”, had been discovered in Kurdestan, and emphasized that military and security experts had launched an investigation into the matter.
He underlined that no further details could be obtained from the aircraft, claiming that it was 'all in pieces', the Islamic Republic News Agency reported Wednesday.
Iranian media had already reported that wreckage of an unmanned plane had been located in Kurdestan in late May. (albawaba.com)
