Two separate bombings north of Baghdad have killed at least four people as reported by Iraqi authorities.
A bomb went off Saturday afternoon inside an outdoor market in the northern city of Mosul, Police officials say. The bomb killed two shoppers and wounded 15 others.
One hour later, in Mishahda village, just north of the capital, police stated that two people were killed and seven others were wounded when a roadside bomb exploded on a road known to be frequented by military convoys.
While medical officials confirmed the casualty figures all officials spoke anonymously because they are not authorized to speak to media.
This attack brings the overall death toll to 74 for the month of December in Iraq, according to an Associated Press count although many deaths may go unreported in the region.
