Journalists killed in Iraq in another day of nationwide violence
Five people were killed in Iraq Saturday in another day of nationwide violence, according to the Associated Press.
Two journalists from the al-Sharqiya TV channel were shot while covering a story in the city of Mosul northwest of Baghdad. It is not yet clear why they were targeted.
In the town of Youssifiyah south of the capital, three other people were killed from a roadside bomb that exploded at a Sunni-manned checkpoint opposed to al-Qaeda. At least five more were wounded from the explosion.
