Jordan’s King Abdullah and Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Sunday in Sanaa for talks that focused on bilateral cooperation in all fields, reported the official Jordanian news agency, Petra.
The Jordanian monarch arrived in Sanaa on Sunday, heading a high-ranking delegation.
Both leaders also discussed the situation in the Palestinian territories and means of boosting Arab solidarity, said Petra.
They also affirmed the need to stop all forms of Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people, and to return to peace negotiation with the aim of establishing a just and comprehensive peace that could guarantee Arab and Palestinian rights.
“To that end, the two leaders urged the international community to mobilize efforts to halt Israeli aggression and put an end to the Palestinian people's suffering," said the agency.
Meanwhile, the two leaders affirmed their determination to further cement bilateral ties particularly in economic spheres.
The agency said that the Joint Jordanian-Yemeni Committee would convene by the end of next June to discuss how to further increase trade volume and investment cooperation – Albawaba.com
