Jordanian Government Protests Execution of Jordanian in Iraq
Jordan protested Monday the execution of a Jordanian national in Iraq without informing the authorities of any death verdict issued against him and without any justification, reported the English daily Jordan Times Tuesday.
Deputy prime minister Ayman Majali summoned Monday the Iraqi charge d'affaires in Amman to protest Iraq's execution of Daoud Suleiman Al Dalou, who was held in Iraqi jails since 1993, said the daily.
It added that Majali voiced the Jordanian government's denunciation of such an act, noting that the government has repeatedly called for Dalou’s release through the Jordanian Embassy in Baghdad and the Iraqi Embassy in Amman without any response - Albawba.com
