Jordanian King to visit Kuwait, Bahrain
Jordan's King Abdullah II will visit Kuwait and Bahrain starting Sunday for talks with Gulf leaders on bilateral matters and the situation in the region, a palace official told AFP Tuesday.
The Monarch will begin his tour in Kuwait City for a brief visit during which he will hold talks with its ruler, Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah, and then he will head off to Bahrain, the official said.
"The reinforcement of relations between Jordan and these two countries as well as the latest developments in the region" will be at the center of the king's talks with the Gulf leaders, the palace official said. Asked if Baghdad will be at the forefront of the discussions, the official said, "Bilateral talks will be the focus". (Albawaba.com)
