Kadhafi, Arafat Discuss Support for Palestinians
Libyan leader Muammar Kadhafi met on Wednesday evening with visiting Palestinian counterpart Yasser Arafat and the accompanying delegation, reported Kuwaiti news agency (KUNA).
The two men exchanged views on means for extending support to the Palestinian Intifada, said the agency.
Arafat and the accompanying delegation arrived in Tripoli earlier Wednesday as in the first leg of a tour of the region a head of the March 27 Arab summit in Amman.
These have been reports that Arafat will set the arrival of promised Arab financial assistance to his people as a condition for his attendance, but Palestinian officials have denied the reports as baseless – Albawaba.com
