Khamenei: US, Israel - worst enemies
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that the US government and the Zionist regime have been the worst enemies of the Iranian nation in the past 30 years. “We all should take care of the current situation and correct our deeds if we have made a mistake,” he said, according to IRNA.
The Supreme Leader said that it is surprising that the enemies have not taken lessons from failure of a variety of conspiracies in the past and are pressing ahead with new plans. “The US says it has earmarked dlrs 45 million to initiate propaganda campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran through the Internet. It indicates their extreme desperation, because they have spent tens of dlrs 45 million so far to strike a blow to Iran through diplomatic campaign, sanctions, espionage, hiring mercenaries and other methods, but, they have never been successful.”
According to him, the inability of the enemy to understand the reality of the Islamic Revolution and its popular strength is a blessing from the Almighty God. “The enemies of the Iranian nation have long ago planned to stage riots in Tehran, but, the plan backfired and brought vigilance to the public.”
Khamenei added that the enemies pursued to blackmail the nation by staging riots in Tehran. “The late Imam Khomeini never gave any concession and we, on behalf of the Iranian nation, will never give any concession,” he stressed.
