Kia Jordan partners with SOS Village on the “Be My Sponsor” campaign
In a collaboration that brought together National Arab Motors (Kia Jordan) and the SOS Children’s Villages in Jordan, the “Be My Sponsor” campaign was launched earlier this Ramadan with the objective of garnering donations for the village’s beneficiaries.
Kia Jordan’s Vice Chairman Nihad Zacharia underscored the company’s commitment to supporting charity initiatives targeting the Kingdom’s underprivileged, particularly its orphans. “We strive to lend a helping hand to less fortunate in our community,” commented Zacharia. “The SOS Village is a shining example of a civil society organization that truly makes a difference in society by giving orphans the care and guidance they need to realize their full potential.”
Lina Mulla, the National Director of SOS Jordan, expressed her gratitude to Kia Jordan for being the key sponsor in this campaign, saying: “We hope that companies and individuals alike follow Kia Jordan’s lead by attempting to make a difference in their community, particularly during this season of charity and goodwill. Every contribution, irrespective of its size or nature, makes a tremendous difference in the lives of these orphans.”
In addition to receiving both Zakat and monetary donations, SOS Jordan also accepts non-monetary items such as toys, clothing, food items, electronics and any items that help secure a decent living for the village’s beneficiaries. It is worth noting that sponsoring an orphaned child costs no more than JD 85 annually, whereas sponsoring orphaned youths costs JD 80. The sponsorship of an entire SOS Village foster home costs JD 500 per year.
