Leading Arab artists come together for "Salam Ya Quds"
At a press conference held today at Emirates Palace, The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) welcomed artists participating in the "Salam Ya Quds" concert to be held on Thursday 28 October.
Held under the Patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the concert brings together a wonderful range of Arab artists from across the region to support the children of Palestine. This one-off event is presented in partnership with the international children's charity "A Child, A Promise", with all ticket proceeds donated to the aid organization for the benefit of the children of Palestine.
ADMAF Founder, Mrs Hoda Al Khamis Kanoo was joined by the founder and Director of A Child, A Promise, Mrs Tania Sfeir, admired poet and TV personality Zahi Wehbe and four renowned female artists from across the region including Macadi Nahhas, Aicha Redouane, Abir Nasaoui and Yolla Khalife.
All of the artists, through their artistic endeavors and through their lives, are committed to the Palestinian cause, and have gladly accepted the opportunity to help enrich the lives of disadvantaged children in Palestine through the artistic, cultural and educational programmes presented by the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation.
They will come together for this evening of cultural entertainment to demonstrate how the arts and music can help to create brighter futures for disadvantaged children.
Mrs. Hoda Al Khamis Kanoo, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF), said:
"We are privileged that so many highly-regarded Arabic artists have pledged their support for "Salam Ya Quds". This is a wonderful example of how a collaboration of music and art can make a real difference to the lives of children in disadvantaged areas. We are proud to present this evening of music and poetry and to offer people across the UAE the chance to support this wonderful cause. "
