A Lebanese citizen was kidnapped after an armed group raided his residence in the Libyan city of Benghazi, the National News Agency reported.
Gerges Rashed Rashed, a 51-year old Lebanese national from Jezzine, had been missing for 4 days since Wednesday.
The NNA reported that armed insurgents had ransacked Rashed’s home and taken him to an unknown location.
The kidnappers also contacted the owner of the company where Rashed was employed, asking for a $1 million ransom for his release.
The company's executive is also a Lebanese national.
