Russia said that they will reject a U.N. resolution on aid access in Syria, saying it is "one sided," according to reports Wednesday. Convoys also waited on standby Wednesday to continue the evacuation process in Homs after the governor suspended the operation Tuesday due to "technical and logistical" reasons.

Russia's Foreign Minister told reporters Tuesday that a new U.N. humanitarian resolution on Syria is "absolutely one-sided" and unacceptable, and the Syrian ambassador to Russia told reporters that the "most dangerous" chemical weapons in the country's stockpile will be removed by March 1 from the country.

As the U.N. finished evacuating some 700 people from the besieged city of Homs over the weekend, a fresh round of peace talks between the Syrian regime and opposition began in Switzerland.
