The mediaME Forum:2010, the first Levant digital media event, was held in Amman on the 7th & 8th of November, 2010. The event brought together clients and advertising professionals from Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Iraq to meet, gain knowledge and discuss the digital media future of the region.

The event delivered quality content, with 29 speakers and panelists from across the region, each tackling a specialized field, presenting the latest facts, figures and trends.

Topics covered included Arab Internet users' habits, audience segments and content preferences, digital media buying strategies for clients and advertising agencies, search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing (SEM) strategies, the utilization of social media channels for branding, online reputation management & PR, creative digital campaigns from across the region, mobile applications and advertising, Arab online gaming trends, online media measurement & monitoring and more.

The forum enjoyed strong attendance, with over 300 registered marketing communications professionals, the majority of whom were the top advertising spending clients in the region.

Zeid Nasser, the organizer and founder of mediaME.com, said that "We are proud to play a role in activating the digital media market in Levant countries, and bringing together all these traditional and digital media professionals. The Middle East is now experiencing the start of a digital revolution and we believe the Levant should play a key role, specifically due to its proven success in Arabic content creation. Local and regional advertising budgets must follow and, with everyone's concentrated efforts, they will."

"Through our regional online community of 8,500 professionals, mediaME.com, we aim to help facilitate this digital media transformation in the whole region, whether in the Levant, Gulf or North Africa," added Nasser.

The event was streamed live on the Internet and caused a significant buzz in the Twitter sphere with thousands of tweets. Several video interviews were conducted with speakers and the event content, including presentations, may be accessed at the website www.mediameforum.com.

The two-day event was sponsored by Yahoo! Maktoob (Platinum sponsor), Ipsos, ikoo and d1g.com (Gold sponsors), The Online Project and Zawya (Silver sponsors) and is managed by mediaME.com, the region's first and biggest online community for advertising and media professionals.
