Mofaz warns Hizbullah not to attack Israel
Israel's Minister of Defense, Shaul Mofaz, Monday warned Hizbullah not to use the US-led war in Iraq as an opportunity to attack Israel, Israel Radio reported.
"If we are faced with the situation where Hizbullah opens up a second front, with the use of long range rockets, Israel will have no option but to exercise its duty to protect its citizens", Mofaz said during a visit in northern Israel.
The Israeli minister added that the Hizbullah has in its possession a few hundred long range rockets. According to Mofaz, these rockets constitute "a strategic threat to Israel." (Albawaba.com)
