More than 100 killed and wounded in Aleppo blasts

At least 40 people were killed and 90 injured in three car bomb attacks that rocked Wednesday the center of Aleppo, Syria's second city, local officials said. "The death toll could rise because there are many serious injuries," an official at the city said. First, two car bombs exploded in one-minute interval in two streets near officers club overlooking the famous Saadallah al-Jabiri square in the heart of Aleppo, a military source told AFP.
A third car bomb exploded 150 meters from Bab Jnein at the entrance of the old town. At least three soldiers have died there, according to a military source.
The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR) has reported "dozens of dead and injured" in the explosions, mostly soldiers.
The official al-Ikhbariya television showed at least two buildings totally destroyed and bloodied bodies covered with dust and debris removed. "There are still people alive under the rubble," a man was screaming.
Following the blasts, in Damascus, many checkpoints have been set up at the entrances of the city.

The Syrian people draw near, waiting and wondering when will help come. Who will defend the innocent? Who will put an end to a madman's idiocy? Will you help? Or will you help? Which of you has the courage and the means to help the Syrian people finally know what it means to live in peace, to have the comfort of feeling safe as they dwell within their homes, and walk the streets of their cities? Is there no one who will stand up to this criminal who has the insane idea that Syria can be wiped off the face of the map? If no one helps Syria, then which country next will be targeted in this matter, maiming and killing scores of thousands of citizens within its borders and walls. There are evildoers about and evil within our world, there is spiritual warfare going on continually without ceasing. Our world is not about "religion." It is, however, about love of God and country, peace and prosperity for all. No man, no nation has the right nor the authority to take that from another human being.
