The king is due to visit New Delhi Monday, his first trip to an Asian country.
The Moroccan monarch is accompanied on the visit by foreign minister Mohammed Benaissa and finance minister Fathallah Oualalou, said the Tribune.
Sheikh Hamad said that the king’s visit “reflected the deep-rooted relations between the two countries and underlined the role of the Moroccan Monarch in serving Arab and Islamic causes and in the development of his country,” according to the Tribune.
For his part, the Moroccan monarch “congratulated Sheikh Hamad on the results of the referendum on the National Action Charter and the support of the citizens to all initiatives for the political, economic and social modernization of Bahrain.” – Albawaba.com
