Nawras, a Qtel Group company, is thrilled to be named as a finalist in two categories of the prestigious Telecoms World Awards Middle East 2010. Winners will be announced during the 6th annual gala event which is scheduled to take place in Dubai on 5 October 2010. Nawras has been shortlisted for both Best Customer Strategy and Best Operator.

Congratulating Nawras for being selected as one of the finalists, organisers of the event noted that they have recorded an exceptional response to the awards this year with up to 40 nominations being received for each category. With such a large number of entries it is clear that even reaching the final stage amongst the regions best is an achievement in itself.

Commenting on the great news, Ross Cormack, Nawras chief executive officer, said, "On behalf of all the Nawras family, I am very excited about this recognition for our customer friendly approach and delighted to see Nawras named amongst the region's top telecommunications companies. Other well-known names on the list of finalists in the category of Best Customer Strategy include Qtel, Vodafone Egypt, Zain KSA and Turk Telecom while the high calibre line up of finalists for Best Operator includes Etisilat, Qtel, Zain and Roshan Telecom.

Nawras was named as Leader in Telecommunications' at the Arab Achievement Awards earlier this year and also recognised for Excellence in Branding & Marketing as well as receiving Asia's Best Employer Brand Award at the 2010 CMO Asia Awards. Previously Nawras has scooped up Customer Service Provider of the Year, Middle East Call Centre of the Year and Middle East Mobile Operator of the Year, amongst a long list of awards.
