NBK honors the graduates of its summer Internship program
National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), the best bank in Kuwait and the highest rated in the Middle East, recently honored students who successfully passed Al Watani Summer Internship program 2010, specifically designed for university and high college students in Kuwait . NBK's higher management officials, attending the ceremony, presented recognition certificates and encouraging gifts to hundreds of graduates who had successfully passed the internship program.
Al Watani Summer Internship program has been initiated as part of NBK's endeavors to provide Kuwaiti young adults the opportunity to develop their skills, gain valuable corporate experience and learn firsthand about banking industry work procedures.
In a speech delivered during the ceremony, which was attended by General Manager Corporate Banking Group Mazin Al Nahedh and NBK Human Resources Group Head, Emad A. Al Ablani, NBK Deputy CEO Shaikha Al Bahar said: "Witnessing the year to year increasing number of Kuwaiti students willing to gain banking skills and benefit from the opportunities provided annually by NBK during summer season is quite a pleasing issue. NBK is fully committed to providing such training and career development programs out of its corporate social responsibility and endeavors to utilize all its potentials and expertise for the promotion of a national workforce capable of shouldering the responsibility of development and future building".
The Summer Internship training was conducted from last June throughout August during which NBK has provided hundreds of training opportunities for Kuwaiti university and high colleges students, including the Business Administration college at Kuwait University, GUST, American University in Kuwait, College of Commercial Studies, Seems Academy, Loyac summer Internship Program, Kuwait students at the U.S universities and Qualitas Institute for Consultations and Training.
Many honored students expressed their pleasure for passing NBK's Summer Internship Program successfully and noted with gratitude the skills and knowledge they gained during their training at the various department and branches of NBK.
