Nepalese Consular Mission to Provide Services in UAE For Limited Time
The Nepalese Consular Mission to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is scheduled to conduct consular services for an estimated 33,000 Nepalese residents working in the UAE from March 19 till March 24.
The companies employing Nepalese nationals are requested to take advantage of this visit, especially for the renewal of passports, which will be available in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi on separate dates.
The previous mission had issued 400 passports in three days.
Due to the fact that there is no residential Embassy of Nepal in the UAE, the availability of immediate consular services to the Nepalese residents remains a significant problem.
According to Khaleej Times, the Royal Nepalese Embassy in the Saudi capital city of Riyadh used to send their consular mission to the UAE as per the annual schedule three times a year at an interval of every four months.
The daily also provided a number to contact for further information. It reported that Surendra, spokesperson of the Nepalese Society in the UAE could be reached at 050-5194557. (Albawaba.com)
