Nepalese Prince Survives Major Road Accident
Nepal's Prince Nirajan survived a major road accident when his car collided with a speeding police van in the Nepalese capital injuring four others, police said Thursday.
The prince was rushed to a military hospital at Chhauni in Kathmandu after the crash late Wednesday in which he was driving, and kept under medical observation for four hours.
His parents King Birendra and Queen Aishwarya had also rushed to the hospital bedside of their youngest son, before he was discharged.
"The prince is in good health and is resting at the winter resort," a palace source told AFP Thursday.
Police rescued Prince Nirajan, his bodyguard Police Inspector Bikram Chand, who broke his ribs, and two others from the badly mangled car by breaking open the door -- KATHMANDU (AFP)
