Ongoing Violence in Algeria Kills 13 People
The continuation of violence in Algeria killed 13 people and wounded five others in the past two days, Algerian newspapers reported on Sunday, quoted by the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA)
The "Liberte" and "el Khabar" newspapers said that four soldiers were killed and five others were wounded in an ambush setup by an armed group Saturday morning near the Berj Abdelqader municipality in the Tissemsilt province, 250 kilometers south-west of the Algerian capital.
Meanwhile, attacks aimed at civilians continued where four shepherds were slaughtered on Saturday by armed men in a forest near the Ain Turky town, west of Algiers, the "Le Matin" daily reported.
Three civilians were killed last Friday by armed men in the Medea province south of the Algerian capital, the "Liberte" daily said.
The "Le Quotidien D'oran" daily said that the bodies of women and her daughter were found on Saturday morning in their home in the center of the Bumerdas town east of the Algerian capital. The death toll in may increased to around 100 of civilians, military men and extremists who oppose peaceful settlement with the government – AlBawaba.com
