Online Marketing Program to Enhance UAE Hotel Services
UAE hotels are set to take the jump from traditional to high-tech management.
According to Gulf News, hotel representatives are participating in a course to learn how to transplant their reservation systems to the Internet and how to use this new medium for marketing, advertising and promotions.
"The web is ideal for the online travel industry, because it allows data exchange between consumers,'' said the Director General of DTCM, Khalid bin Sulayem. The program, provided by WorldRes, a specialist leader in hotel reservations, involves a step-by-step manual to Internet reservations and other distribution channels. Furthermore, the course provides required information for the management of the WorldRes.com Administration System. "The best part of this program is that it allows the reservation staff of Dubai's hotels to update content, availability and rates frequently," said Sulayem.
DTCM's website will feature each property with photographs and detailed descriptions including facilities, rates, services and local attractions. Reservations of properties can be conveniently booked at www.dubaitourism.co.ae as well as through other WorldRes.com affiliates such as AOL, Travelocity and Yahoo.
