A meeting late Tuesday between President Abbas and caretaker PM Rami Hamdallah to form a new cabinet ended without agreement, a PA spokesman said.
Ihab Bseiso told Ma'an that no solution was reached and a date has not been set to announce the formation of a new PA cabinet.
Discussion will continue on Wednesday, he added.
Abbas asked Hamdallah to form a new government on Aug. 13, and gave him a time-frame of 5 weeks.
The five week deadline passed on Tuesday and Hamdallah is expected to propose a new cabinet to Abbas.
Senior PLO official Jamal Muheisin told Ma'an this week that only a minor cabinet reshuffle is expected.
Hamdallah resigned on June 23 after just over two weeks on the job, and was appointed interim prime minister.
