Palestinian security sources and eyewitnesses told Ma'an that at least one Israeli artillery shell hit a military post belonging to what they called the "Palestinian resistance," east of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, next to the border with Israel.

The young Palestinian woman reportedly approached Israeli border guards stationed at the Tappuah junction, using the Israeli term for the area around the checkpoint, and after "ignoring their directives and their calls for her to stop," pulled out a knife. Israeli forces then opened live fire on the young woman and "neutralized" her.
