PFLP claims Tel Aviv suicide bombing
A suicide bombing attack took place Monday morning in a busy Tel Aviv market. Three people were killed and more than 30 wounded.
Israel TV reported that police assessed the bomber arrived in Tel Aviv from Nablus via Jerusalem. The explosives the bomber carried were relatively small in size, an Israeli fire brigade commander said.
Israeli police arrested two suspects a short time after the bombing, Israel Radio reported.
The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, military wing of the Popular Front, claimed credit for the Tel Aviv attack. It said the bomber was a resident of Askar Refugee Camp in the west Bank, near Nablus.
Palestinian Cabinet minister Saeb Erekat condemned the bombing. "We urge the international community to exert every possible effort to revive the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians, which is the only to break this vicious cycle of violence," he said, according to The AP. (Albawaba.com)
