Prodi Denounces Suicide Attacks in Israel as ‘Odious’
European Commission President Romano Prodi on Sunday condemned the lastest wave of Palestinian suicide attacks in the heart of Israel's cities which killed at least 26 people and injured more than 170.
"I express my firm condemnation of the odious terrorist attacks in Jerusalem yesterday and Haifa today," Prodi said in a condolence message to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.
"Once again, the European Commission wants to make clear its full rejection of any act of terrorism and stresses the urgency of resuming the dialogue to restore peace", Prodi said in his message.
