The manufacturer has been able to overcome the current recession by exploiting new markets and designs with innovative range of products and contributes to be top ceramic and porcelain tile manufacturer in the world with more than USD 1 billion in annual global sales. Interlocking tiles using latest, high-resolution digital tile imaging technology, 6.5 mm thick Nanopix Slim Tiles, Dolomite Tiles and the exquisite Top Class series will headline RAK Ceramic’s offerings at Stand No. A181 of the Big 5 venue’s Sheikh Rashid Hall. It is also exhibiting various products under its sanitary ware range, including its Oplance, Metropolitan Deluxe, Compact (S-Trap), Infinity, and HIS & HERS (P-Trap) lines. “We have been able to consolidate and strengthen our position from 2009 despite the business slowdown caused by the global crisis by constantly pursuing new segments and markets. Right now we are eyeing further expansion into India and we continue to position ourselves as premier tile supplier to the Gulf region which will remain a strong market for our products and the Big 5 show allows us to showcase our latest range of innovative and bathware collection and will enable us to reinforce ties with our existing and new partners in the region,” said Dr. Khater Massaad, CEO, RAK Ceramics. Among RAK Ceramics’ latest projects is the Al Raha Beach development in Abu Dhabi where 170,000 square meters of its tiles were installed; the 305-luxury villa Al Barari Development in Dubai where RAK Ceramics supplied 212,000 square meters of tiles; and the the Dusit Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Other high-profile developments included in RAK Ceramics’ credits are the USD 11.5 billion Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University in Riyadh where 85 per cent of tiles were provided by RAK Ceramics; the Burj Al Arab; the Atlantis Hotel; Dubai Mall; and the EmiratesPalace. Many of the manufacturer’s products are specifically aimed at the GCC market, including the Top Class ( 30 x 60 ), Soft Leaves ( 20 x 50 ), Nanopix Slim ( 30 x 60 & 30 x 100 CM), Dolomite (20 x 50 CM ), and Blume ( 30 x 60 CM ) lines, among others. RAK Ceramics manufactures over 360,000 sqm of tiles and 12,000 pieces of sanitary ware around the world daily through its state-of-the-art plants spread across 5 continents.
