Renault’s Newest Zippy Hatchback Drives into Bahrain
Young discerning drivers can now look forward to the newest Renault hatchback, the Sandero, which is now available across dealers in Bahrain.
The new Renault Sandero is an eye-catching, ‘cool’ 5-door hatchback that exudes modern design, dynamic performance and robust reliability.
Renault GCC Managing Director, Mustansir Lakdawala said: “The Renault Sandero is a small, inexpensive, compact city car aimed at the entry-level segment of the high-volume AB hatchback category. The car has had phenomenal success overseas eagerly embraced by the South American and European markets which led us to launch this new compact hatch across the region.”
“The new hatch offers the best combination of comfort, reliability and space, and is up for grabs at an extremely competitive price. It’s a great option for a first car at the same time, a good choice as a second family car. So, if you need the space and are on a budget, and do a lot of city driving, the Sandero’s very much worth a look,” he added.
Before being launched in Bahrain, the Sandero was put through vigorous testing in the region to ensure the car is suited and well adapted to local driving conditions.
One of key attributes that sets the Renault Sandero apart from other vehicles in its category is its size and roominess. While the Sandero’s retail price belongs in the small car segment, its ample interior and exterior dimensions – it is 4.02 metres in length with a storage capacity of 320 litres – put it up with the larger car segment, making this hatch exceptional value for money. The placement of the sparewheel underneath the car, instead of residing inside is a smart idea, freeing up volume for such generous load space.
Offering drivers the best in class front seat shoulder room of 1,400mm, with 878mm headroom at the rear, the Sandero’s roomy proportions single the hatch out from its competitors.
For a superior on road performance the Sandero is equipped with the 1.6 16v engine available in both manual and automatic transmissions, acclaimed for its excellent standard of reliability. This engine lends the Sandero exceptional capability with 90% torque from 2,000rpm, while also controlling fuel consumption.
Another attractive feature that comes as a standard with this zippy city car is an mp3 player so drivers can enjoy their favourite music anytime and anywhere!
Much attention has also been paid to the Sandero’s acoustics for a peaceful ride and the inclusion of a powerful thermal comfort system to ensure the utmost comfort for all passengers.
The Sandero’s dynamic exterior styling features a distinctive front end with expressive headlamps, grille and bumper that merge seamlessly into the bodywork, whilst the rear styling emphasises the generous dimensions of the car.
Inside the cabin, the hatchback’s dashboard has been developed to be both modern and functional, with no efforts spared to create ergonomic controls and make information displays easy for all occupants.
On the active safety front, the Sandero features the latest-generation Bosch 8.0 ABS. While in terms of passive safety, the new Renault Sandero Hatch has been designed to meet the highest requirements of European regulations, with its 3-point seat belts, honeycomb dashboard, padded doors and roof cross-member providing the highest safety standards possible.
The Renault Sandero was initially developed for Brazilian customers and was the first Renault model manufactured and sold outside Europe reinforcing the fact that Renault is a global brand developing cars to suit the requirements of overseas markets and audiences. The Sandero model that will be sold across the region is manufactured in Renault’s plant in Romania
