Dubai-based fashion designer sisters, Rima and Sara Ashemimry, co-founders of the internationally popular fashion label Rimalya, presented their Spring-Summer 2008 collection at the Nolcha Fashion Week, which was held in New York City September 5th -12th 2007.
The Nolcha Fashion Week, one of the trade's most important annual events, supports and promotes fashion on the runway, in seminars and by networking. Each year, selected designers unveil their collections to an audience of fashion lovers and fashion industry professionals including buyers and fashion writers from across the globe, while the educational seminars feature guest speakers including renowned industry figures who offer their expertise on the nature of the fashion business. Networking events are a key part of the Nolcha Fashion Week and give rising talents the opportunity to meet trade buyers and established fashion professionals.
The New York showing follows the success of Rimalya's latest collection at the Las Vegas Magic Marketplace, last month. "These two shows in the USA are highly important events in our calendar and are key fixtures in our global marketing strategy," said Sara Ashemimry.
It is always a pleasure to receive critical acclaim from fellow professionals," added sister Rima. "After months of hardwork, the reception we received at both our showings in the USA told us that we have launched another successful collection, but of course, as soon as one season's collection is launched, we have to start work again designing for the next season."
